Accounts Payable Specialist 

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you ensure that our supplier invoices are processed accurately, on time and in full. You are involved throughout the entire accounts payable process, from the moment an invoice is received and verified through to its final processing and payment.

You process both expense and purchase order invoices and ensure they are routed to the appropriate colleagues for approval. When an invoice cannot be processed immediately, for example due to a missing PO match or ‘received’ status, you investigate the cause of the discrepancy and coordinate with the relevant colleagues to resolve it. You also prepare payments and process bank transactions.

Your responsibilities cover several Dutch entities within Dieseko Group, meaning you will work with a variety of financial systems and processes, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ExFlow, ReadSoft and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Through your day-to-day work, you are often the first to identify where processes could be made more efficient. We therefore value someone who not only works accurately and reliably, but also takes a critical look at existing processes and actively contributes ideas on how we can work smarter and more efficiently.

Responsibilities: 

• Processing, checking and posting supplier invoices, including expense invoices and PO invoices.
• Ensuring invoices are routed correctly for approval and following up on invoices where information, a PO match or ‘received’ status is missing.
• Preparing payments and processing and reconciling bank transactions.
• Monitoring outstanding balances and, where required, supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, obtain missing information and address other queries relating to invoices and payments.
• Identifying bottlenecks and actively contributing to the improvement, standardisation and automation of our financial processes.

• You have experience working in financial administration, preferably within accounts payable and/or invoice processing.
• You have a good understanding of and interest in accounting and financial processes.
• You have experience working with an ERP system and digital invoice processing. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or ExFlow would be an advantage.
• You work accurately, are comfortable working with numbers and take pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
• You are independent and proactive. When something does not add up or information is missing, you take the initiative to investigate and resolve it.
• You have strong communication and digital skills and are comfortable reaching out to colleagues and suppliers to resolve issues.
• You look beyond your own day-to-day responsibilities and enjoy contributing ideas on how financial processes can be made smarter and more efficient.
