Financial Controller

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and complete financial accounting for several Dutch entities within Dieseko Group.

You will take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring that financial results are recorded accurately and on time. You will also play an important role in audits, tax filings and the continued professionalisation of our financial processes.

Over the coming years, Finance will have a strong focus on process improvement, automation and making optimal use of the capabilities within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. As part of this development, we are also exploring and implementing AI solutions to make our processes smarter and more efficient.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Corporate Control and the wider business, as well as with external auditors.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for accounting and ensure an accurate, timely and complete month-end close, including the coordination and execution of month-end closing activities.
• Manage the general ledger and prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, provisions and journal entries, while ensuring the overall quality and accuracy of the financial administration.
• Identify, analyse and resolve accounting issues and prepare financial analyses and management information.
• Prepare for interim and year-end audits, including audit files, and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Prepare and coordinate VAT and corporate income tax (CIT) returns, as well as statutory reporting to Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
• Review and strengthen internal controls and financial processes, and initiate and implement process improvements within Finance.
• Standardise and automate activities within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and actively contribute to ERP optimisation, system improvements and further digitalisation, including exploring and implementing AI solutions.
• Collaborate with Group Control on reporting, consolidation and compliance.

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Assistant Controller or Senior Financial Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial close processes and financial reporting.
• Experience within an international manufacturing, engineering or project-based organisation is a strong advantage.
• Experience with audits and working with external auditors.
• Knowledge of tax processes, including VAT and corporate income tax (CIT) filings.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• A demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation and digitalisation.
• Experience with BI solutions, AI applications or data analytics is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, with an independent and proactive approach to your work.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
